Developments inside Ukraine

Earlier that same day, Russian forces launched a missile strike on the city of Merefa in the Kharkiv district. The attack killed six people and left more than twenty others wounded. The incident sparked outrage among the public and drew renewed attention to the ongoing war in Ukraine.

Separately, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) reported a missile attack originating from Iran. According to the UAE Ministry of Defense, four missiles were fired; three were intercepted over the country's territorial waters, while one fell into the sea.

Ukraine's National Police conducted sweeping searches targeting officials from territorial recruitment centers (TCCs) across the country. The operations uncovered evidence of illicit enrichment and inaccurate asset declarations totaling nearly 92 million hryvnias. In Dnipro, a man opened fire on TCC workers, further highlighting the tense atmosphere within the nation.

Among other significant updates, the Ukrainian government expanded its list of Affordable Medicines, a move that could improve access to healthcare for citizens. Additionally, reporting on the use of funds under the SvitloDim program has begun, part of broader efforts to support energy efficiency in Ukraine.

Zelenskyy's participation in the EPC summit underscores the critical role of international backing for Ukraine amid the war, as well as the country's push to strengthen ties with European partners. At the same time, reports of missile strikes and internal violence reflect the precarious security situation that continues to shape daily life for Ukrainians. In parallel, government initiatives like the expansion of the Affordable Medicines program point to ongoing efforts to bolster social welfare during the crisis.

As Zelenskyy navigates the complexities of international diplomacy, his visit to Armenia comes with significant objectives aimed at strengthening ties in the region.
