Housing vouchers for 2 million UAH: who among IDPs can receive money for new housing

Ukraine has launched a new housing voucher program for internally displaced persons who have left their homes in temporarily occupied territories. Each voucher for 2 million UAH can be used for purchase, construction, or mortgage.

Starting from December 1, applications for obtaining a voucher can be submitted by internally displaced persons who have the status of UBD or persons with war-related disabilities, confirmed residence in temporarily occupied territory, and do not own housing in the territory controlled by the government and have not previously received housing assistance. Applications can only be submitted through the Diia portal, where all data will automatically undergo verification, and the decision regarding the issuance of the voucher will be made within 30 days.

Upon receiving approval, the voucher will be valid for 5 years. During this time, the property acquired under the program cannot be sold or re-registered.

The date of the actual payments will be announced separately.
