Long-Range Strikes by Ukrainian Forces Continue to Target Oil Refineries and Saki Airfield
Deep Strikes by Ukraine Keep Pressing Russian Military Sites
According to Зеленський: Ukraine's military has carried out another round of long-range strikes on targets within Russia. Over the past 24 hours, several key locations were hit, including:
- the Novokuibyshevsk oil refinery
- a logistics hub in Samara Oblast
- facilities in the Black Sea area
The attacks mark a continued intensification of Kyiv's efforts against Russian military infrastructure.
Impact and Confirmed Destruction
The Novokuibyshevsk refinery, situated roughly 1,000 km from the front line, was among the principal targets. Another key site struck was a logistics hub in Samara Oblast, which plays a critical role in moving military equipment and supplies. Strikes in Black Sea waters also suggest the operational area is expanding.
Previous attacks on Saki airfield have now been confirmed as successful: one Su-24M aircraft and four pieces of airfield equipment were destroyed. In Bryansk Oblast, relay stations used by Russian forces to steer drones toward Ukrainian cities and villages were also eliminated. These results underscore Ukraine's effort to reduce the effectiveness of Russia's military operations.
The ongoing strikes against Russian facilities show no sign of slowing, with active combat operations continuing in the region. A rising number of attacks on strategic targets inside Russia may point to a new Ukrainian tactic aimed at destabilizing supply lines and diminishing Moscow's military potential. This, in turn, could affect the wider battlefield situation and the strategic balance of forces. These deep strikes reflect Kyiv's stated strategy of hitting military infrastructure that supports Russia's invasion.
As Ukraine continues its focused strikes on critical military infrastructure, the recent attacks on the Perm oil refinery and Marynivka airfield highlight the expanding range of Ukrainian operations. These efforts not only aim to disrupt Russian supply lines but also to reinforce Kyiv's commitment to weakening Moscow's military capabilities.
