According to glavcom.ua: The Armed Forces of Ukraine denied reports of a breakthrough by Russian troops in the Pokrovsk and Dobropillya area of the Donetsk region. They noted that it was only about the infiltration of small groups, which were eliminated by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The statement on this topic was made by spokesman of the operational-strategic grouping of troops 'Dnipro', Lieutenant Colonel Viktor Trehubov.

“In the last day, various information resources reported information about allegedly a breakthrough by Russian troops in one of the sections of the front in eastern Ukraine. This information is not reliable and does not reflect the real facts,” the message stated.

The spokesman explained that the Russians use the tactic of infiltrating small groups near the first line of defense, losing a large number of servicemen. This occurred near Dobropillya when an enemy group attempted to penetrate the lines of Ukrainian forces but was repelled.

“A small enemy group bypassed Ukrainian positions and tried to hide behind us, but the Defense Forces repel such attempts. A similar situation occurred a week ago with the passage of a small sabotage and reconnaissance group in Pokrovsk, which was unsuccessful for the enemy,” Trehubov added.

DeepState analysts previously reported a worrying situation near Dobropillya and predicted rapid movements of occupation troops. It is important to keep an eye on developments in this region.

Ukrainian military successfully liberated two settlements in Sumy region from Russian occupiers. The warriors of the 225th separate assault regiment actively acted, pushing enemy units beyond the state border of Ukraine from the villages of Stepne and Novokostyantynivka (formerly known as May Day) in the Sumy region.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine inflicted defeats on small Russian groups attempting to break through near Pokrovsk and Dobropillya. The Russians resort to the tactic of infiltrating in small groups, but Ukrainian forces effectively cut off their attempts. Analysts advise closely monitoring the situation near Dobropillya, as there are alarming forecasts regarding a possible offensive by Russian troops. At the same time, the Ukrainian military continues to actively fight, clearing the enemy groups from Ukrainian territories.
