133 Combat Clashes in a Day: Ukrainian General Staff Identifies the Hottest Frontline Sector

According to Главком: As of 10:00 PM on May 11, 2023, the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff released its latest battlefield report. A total of 133 combat engagements occurred, during which the enemy deployed 4,901 kamikaze drones and carried out 1,926 shelling attacks on civilian settlements and military positions. The most intense fighting is concentrated in the Pokrovsk direction, where 50 Russian troops were eliminated.
Situation Across Different Fronts
In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian forces recorded 26 enemy assaults. Additionally, 17 occupiers were wounded, one multiple rocket launcher system was destroyed, and six units of automotive equipment were taken out. Three more vehicles, two artillery pieces, and 50 personnel shelters were damaged. A total of 150 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types were either destroyed or suppressed.
On the Northern Slobozhanskyi and Kursk fronts, three combat clashes took place, with the enemy launching 46 shelling attacks, including three using multiple rocket launchers. In the Southern Slobozhanskyi direction, Russian forces stormed Ukrainian positions eight times, while in the Kupiansk sector, they attacked twice.
The Lyman direction saw 11 enemy assaults, while on the Sloviansk front, Ukrainian troops repelled six attempts by the aggressor to advance. In the Kostiantynivka sector, 15 enemy attacks were beaten back. Two assaults were thwarted in the Oleksandrivka direction, and 16 in the Huliaipole sector. On the Orikhiv front, the enemy launched two assault attempts.
This marks the 1,538th day of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine.
The General Staff's report highlights the ongoing intensity of combat operations across multiple sectors, with the Pokrovsk direction remaining the most active. The heavy use of kamikaze drones and relentless shelling underscores the growing threats to both civilians and military positions. This situation reinforces the critical need for sustained international support and resources for Ukraine as the war continues.
