According to Visit Ukraine: Ukrainian composer Mykola Leontovych created the famous song 'Shchedryk' 150 years ago. This melody has become popular worldwide and has become an integral part of Christmas celebrations.

The Legend of 'Shchedryk'

This carol can be heard in many films that are known to everyone. One of the recent films featuring this melody is 'Shchedryk' (2022).

The music of Mykola Leontovych has remained popular for centuries, reminding people of the Ukrainian Christmas spirit and the essence of the holiday.
