The Tragic Loss of Vladyslav Morozov

According to Главком: On August 25, 2025, 22-year-old serviceman Vladyslav Morozov was killed on the outskirts of the village of Stavky in the Donetsk region. The fatal incident occurred when an enemy FPV drone struck his position. Known among his comrades by the call sign 'Moroz,' Vladyslav served in the 95th Separate Air Assault Brigade, initially as an assault soldier and later as a reconnaissance operator. In February 2025, he transferred to the 20th Separate Regiment of Unmanned Systems.

Born on December 8, 2002, in the city of Oleksandriia, Kirovohrad region, Vladyslav Morozov was awarded the Cross of Honor, the Medal 'For Saving a Life,' and the badge of the Special Operations Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The fallen warrior was laid to rest in his hometown, where his mother, brother, sister, and fiancée survive him.

Passions and Remembrance

Vladyslav had a wide range of interests. He trained as a welder at a vocational school before working as a builder. His fiancée, Sofia, recalls that Vlad was passionate about cars and dreamed of building a collection of radio-controlled models.

“During his last leave, I gave him a LEGO car, joking that it would have to do for now instead of a real one. His reaction in that moment is one of my most cherished memories,” – Sofia.

Words from Vladyslav’s mother, Yuliia, also capture the depth of his character:

“My son loved life deeply. It was as if he knew something and was in a hurry to live. He always needed to be in multiple places at once: getting things done, going out, spending time with friends.”

Vlad truly was someone who appreciated every moment of his life.

Sofia speaks of his sensitivity and kindness: “Vlad was a caring and good person who treated others with respect. He always had a smile. Even while on the front line, he found time for jokes.” She also recalls the engagement ring Vlad placed on her finger during his last leave, and the words from his final letter, which will stay with her forever.

Every day at 9 a.m., Ukrainians honor the memory of all those whose lives have been taken by the Russo-Ukrainian war. This report comes from Glavcom, citing the Memorial remembrance platform. Vlad Morozov, like so many other soldiers, will be remembered by his family and comrades-in-arms.
