Life in Afghanistan under the Taliban: what a Ukrainian journalist revealed
Ukrainian blogger and journalist Ramina Eskhakzai made a trip to Afghanistan, her father's homeland, and talked about life in the country under the rule of the 'Taliban'. She noted the harsh conditions for women, restrictions on rights, and new rules that significantly affected their lives. The information was published in the 'Glavkom' publication referencing a video on Ramina's YouTube channel.
In the country, women are prohibited from many things, including work and education, leaving the house without a man, and adhering to a strict dress code. Such restrictions greatly limit women's freedom in the country, but some of them are finding ways to stay strong and express themselves even in such conditions.

The article also mentions harsh punishments for breaking the new laws, including amputation of a hand for theft. These measures contribute to increased control and reduced crime but, unfortunately, force residents to live in constant fear.
In her report, Ramina also provided an opportunity to talk to a women's rights defender in the country, who shared her experiences and personal battle against restrictions. The video from this trip showed the world a reality still unfamiliar to many.
