Combatting Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder


Commander of the reconnaissance platoon 'Azov' Mykola 'Frost' Kush shared his experience in battling post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in an interview for the 'Dachny Dvizh' project on YouTube channel. He talked about how his psychological state changed after assaults when every sharp sound can trigger a reaction.



'You get overwhelmed: your hands and feet feel like they are not yours, there is heat, and it takes a lot of resources to keep it in check,' - shares the military.


In ordinary life, Kush noticed that the effects of PTSD manifest in strong emotional outbursts. He used to be a calm person, but now he reacts impulsively even to an innocent word.



Consulting Doctors and Support from Melovin


According to the head of the NSZU Natalia Husak, appeals to doctors regarding mental health disorders, including depression, sleep disturbances, apathy, and PTSD, have significantly increased in Ukraine. Musician Melovin also made an appeal to his supporters, sharing his experience in fighting stress and ailments that negatively affected his health.



It is important to remember the support and consulting specialists for maintaining mental health. Taking care of one’s inner state is an essential component of the overall health of every person.
