Ukraine intends to increase the share of domestic weapons to 50%. Currently, the Ukrainian army uses 40% of its own weapons and 60% purchased from abroad, including from the USA and European countries.
'Increasing the share of domestic weapons to 50% next year is quite realistic. This is possible in quantitative terms because we have underloaded production facilities within the country, specifically regarding drones, electronic warfare systems, artillery systems, artillery shells, etc. So far, we do not have sufficient funding for this. Therefore, we are discussing this with partners, convincing them, and this is also one of the tasks at the inter-parliamentary level - to seek more funding for Ukraine for next year'.
A people's deputy emphasized that some European countries have already promised to provide assistance to Ukraine next year. He also touched on the importance of developing air defense, which should include various complex systems.
Ukraine is actively working to increase domestic weapons, feeling the need to ensure reliable protection and safeguard its borders.
