Apple unveiled the most affordable MacBook Neo for $599 (video)
Apple officially introduced a new laptop MacBook Neo at the budget level. The model became the most affordable MacBook in the company's lineup - its starting price is $599. The new product is already available for pre-order. This is reported by “ITC.ua.”
The appearance of an affordable MacBook looks contrasting against the backdrop of the recent price increases for the MacBook Air M5 and MacBook Pro with M5 Pro and M5 Max chips. Apple has effectively opened a new segment - a laptop for basic tasks in the budget price range.
MacBook Neo specifications: display, processor, and memory
The new laptop features a 13-inch Retina display with a resolution of 2408×1506 pixels and a brightness of up to 500 nits. The screen is built on an LCD panel.
At the same time, the MacBook Neo lacks some features found in more expensive models:

no support for expanded P3 color gamut.
The laptop runs on the A18 Pro processor, which is used in iPhone 16 Pro smartphones. The chip features:

The base version comes with a 256 GB storage and 8 GB of RAM. For an additional $100, a configuration with a 512 GB SSD and Touch ID fingerprint scanner is available.
MacBook Neo price: when sales start
Apple used an aluminum chassis without plastic elements. The laptop features a 1080p webcam, two USB-C ports, and a headphone jack.
