Attack on Valdai: why the Kremlin uses the incident for new threats and what awaits Ukraine
According to Студия Руслана Бизяева: The incident involving the reported attack on Vladimir Putin's residence in Valdai, the information about which raised many doubts, has become a pretext for the Kremlin to change its negotiating position and issue new threats. Analysts consider several versions of the event:
- Russian fake for escalation
- Possible unauthorized action from the Ukrainian side
The international reaction has been cautious: only a few countries (UAE, Pakistan, Abkhazia, Nicaragua) condemned the incident without evidence, while India expressed concern, and China called for de-escalation without accusations. Political analyst Ruslan Bezsmertnyi notes:
“Those who have at least minimal grouping of space satellite reconnaissance definitely know what happened.” – Ruslan Bezsmertnyi
Internal processes in Ukraine
Against this backdrop, important internal processes are taking place in Ukraine. Information about about 100 defense enterprises, including the drone and missile manufacturer FirePoint, has been removed from open analytical platforms based on a government decree. At the same time, a large working group of 64 members has been formed in parliament to develop the legislative framework for the upcoming elections.
However, experts believe that the determining factor will not be the readiness of the legislation, but the political will of key partners. Bezsmertnyi emphasizes:
“Elections will not take place when this group finishes its work, but when in London and Washington... a decision is made that it is time to hold elections.” – Ruslan Bezsmertnyi
The main trends for 2026, in his opinion, include:
- Freezing the war in Ukraine (from ceasefire to truce)
- Deep transformation of the global geopolitical order
