Prisoner Capture in the Pokrovsk Sector

According to Главком: In the settlement of Hryshyne, located in the Pokrovsk direction, a fighter from the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade-identified by the call sign Alex-took two Russian occupiers prisoner. This operation was the result of bold actions by the Ukrainian defender, who had trained at the Skelia training center. The evacuation of the captives took nearly three full days. One of the captured soldiers originates from Bashkortostan.

Notably, Alex's comrade with the call sign Anchous was wounded during an enemy bombardment, highlighting the dangers Ukrainian troops face on the front lines. Alex shared his account of the capture:

“I approached from the blind side, called out to them so they wouldn’t recognize me by my uniform. They crouched down, set aside their rifles, and started talking... Then came a minute of silence... Because they heard Ukrainian on the radio and realized where they had ended up. The key is that now we have prisoners, and we can bring our guys back from captivity.”

Ukrainian Forces Score Further Successes

In the Kharkiv region, troops from the 158th Separate Mechanized Brigade also carried out a successful operation, capturing five Russian soldiers. One of the prisoners turned out to be a fellow villager of the Ukrainian defender-both are from Velyka Znamianka in the Zaporizhzhia region. Additionally, fighters from the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Zakarpattia Brigade and the 253rd Assault Regiment reported capturing 11 Russian invaders over the course of a single week.

These events demonstrate the activity of Ukrainian forces in defending the country and their ability to execute successful operations across multiple fronts.

Taking prisoners is a key element of military strategy, as it not only undermines enemy morale but can also be leveraged for exchanges of service members. The operations conducted by Ukrainian troops reflect their readiness to act decisively under combat conditions. This also confirms that Ukrainian forces continue to gain momentum and improve their tactical effectiveness on the battlefield.

As Ukrainian forces continue to demonstrate their strategic prowess, recent operations have yielded significant results across various fronts. For instance, in the Sumy region, a successful defense resulted in the elimination of six invaders during an attempted attack via a gas pipeline. This highlights the ongoing efforts of Ukrainian troops to thwart enemy advances and maintain security in critical areas.
