How much does a trip to the Tatras cost?
The cost of tours to the Tatras can vary significantly depending on the duration of the trip and the composition of the route. Sea Eye
Sea Eye — is not only the largest but also one of the most beautiful lakes in the Tatras. It is located in the High Tatras at an altitude of 1395 meters above sea level, in the picturesque Rybia Potok valley, where the streams Mnichowy and Czarno Staw join. From the shores of the lake there is a breathtaking view of the Rysy mountains, Mnich and Mieguszowiecki Peaks. There is also a shelter of the Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society (PTTK), which adds convenience for travelers. The lake can be reached via the red path from Palenica Białczańska, which takes approximately 2-2.5 hours of walking one way. Although the path is long, the views along the way are undoubtedly worth every minute spent!
Waterfall
Did you know that Poland's largest waterfall is located in the Tatras? This is Wielka Siklawa. The height of the waterfall's cascades varies between 64 and 70 meters at different points, and the waterfall itself is located in the Roztoka valley. To get there, leave the bus at the parking lot in Palenica Białczańska and take the red path to the Mickiewicz Falls, then follow the green route through the Roztoka valley. When you reach the waterfall, you will be amazed by its beauty, especially on a clear day after rain. If you want to rest, the blue path will lead you to the shelter in the Valley of Five Lakes. The journey from Palenica to Siklawa will take about three hours.
Tatra Valleys
The Tatra valleys offer not only stunning climbing trails but also charming corners of nature worth visiting at any time of the year. Kościeliska and Chochołowska valleys are perfect for family walks, even if you set off with small children. In winter, you can ride sleds here, and in spring, the Chochołowska valley is covered with a carpet of blooming crocuses.
The Valley of Five Lakes impresses with its beauty, but visiting it can be a challenge for those not accustomed to active hikes. Interestingly, there are actually six lakes in the valley, including the Sea Eye, which freezes in winter. It is also worth peeking into the Gąsienicowa valley, where the views, as if from postcards, enchant the hearts of tourists.
