Bukovel Resort Launches Recruitment Drive

According to ХВИЛЯ: Bukovel, a major Ukrainian ski resort, has initiated its staffing process for the 2026 season, offering official deferrals from military mobilization as a key incentive. Under new, stricter regulations, the minimum salary required to qualify for this deferral is set at 21,617 Ukrainian hryvnias. While the rules are now more rigorous, employees in the energy and utilities sectors are granted 100% deferrals under special provisions. This move comes as businesses across Ukraine adapt to the legal framework governing mobilization.

Available Positions at Bukovel

Employers at the resort are advertising a variety of roles with competitive wages. For instance, the national postal service, 'Ukrposhta,' is seeking post office operators with a salary of 20,000 hryvnias, a full social benefits package, and a mobilization deferral. The retail chain 'Silpo' has openings for:

  • Chefs with salaries ranging from 44,700 to 63,600 hryvnias;
  • Loaders earning between 40,000 and 56,800 hryvnias;
  • Goods receivers with pay from 40,900 to 58,100 hryvnias.

Local hotels and restaurants are also listing numerous vacancies. For example, pizza chefs can earn between 1,400 and 1,700 hryvnias per shift (from 12:00 to 22:00), with free accommodation, meals, and a legal deferral included. Restaurant managers are offered stable, officially declared salaries. These initiatives aim to attract workers amidst new mobilization requirements and ensure the resort's operational stability.

This recruitment campaign is a crucial step in maintaining the resort's tourist infrastructure under the amended mobilization laws. By implementing the new deferral rules and offering competitive pay, Bukovel hopes to draw the attention of potential employees. This strategy is seen as vital for supporting the local economy and regional stability. Facing economic challenges, such measures are considered essential for sustaining the tourism sector and creating future job opportunities in the Carpathian region.
