Can Ukrainians count on a 13th pension in Poland
Ukrainians who officially worked in Poland and paid social contributions can count on receiving the so-called 13th pension. This refers to an annual one-time payment that the state provides to pensioners within the social insurance system. This is reported by InPoland.
In Poland, the 13th pension is paid to all individuals who are within the ZUS or KRUS system and are entitled to pension or social payments. The additional assistance does not depend on the amount of the main pension and is granted automatically without the need to submit a separate application.
13th pension in Poland: Conditions for foreigners
For foreigners, including citizens of Ukraine, the right to payment arises on the condition of legal employment in Poland and payment of insurance premiums for the established minimum period. This applies to both individuals with residence permits and those under temporary protection, but who have acquired pension rights under Polish law.

Amount of additional payment and order of calculation
The amount of the 13th pension is determined by law each year. In 2026, the amount will be about 1,500 zlotys before taxation. The payment is traditionally made once, usually in March. It does not affect other social benefits or supplements that the pensioner receives.
Ukrainians who want to clarify their right to this payment are advised to contact the branches of Zakład Ubezpieczeń Społecznych or use the official online services of the institution.
It should be noted that Ukrainians who do not have sufficient insurance experience to retire can take advantage of the opportunity to buy the necessary years by signing a contract with the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
