Russians struck Kyiv: rescuers are working at 22 locations
Last night, Russian forces attacked Kyiv, the Kyiv region, Odesa, Kharkiv, and Cherkasy, causing significant destruction. Currently, emergency services are on the scene trying to rescue the victims and minimize the damage.
About 300 rescuers and 500 police officers are engaged in eliminating the aftermath of the attacks, working all night without rest. Residential buildings, hospitals, and office premises, most of which are located in residential areas, have been damaged as a result of the attacks.
“Russian strikes on the peaceful population are a merciless terror that has lasted for four consecutive years,” emphasized Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko.
Scale and consequences of the attacks
As a result of these attacks, four people died from a nine-story building in Kyiv, and about 30 people were injured, including two children and a pregnant woman. Rescuers evacuated nearly 70 people from the building and provided assistance to the victims.
All available services, including firefighters, investigative police officers, bomb technicians, and psychologists, arrived to assist the victims. Tents have been set up by the damaged buildings where the victims can receive assistance and support.
“Thank you to everyone working within the Ministry of Internal Affairs - to everyone who saves, protects, and helps. During such trials, we feel that together we are invincible. And no terrorist can separate us in front of the Russian aggressor,” emphasized Ihor Klymenko.
As a result of missile and drone strikes across various regions of Ukraine, significant material damage and human casualties have occurred. Rescuers, police officers, and other services are working at the scenes, trying to save people and provide them with the necessary assistance.
