Новий депутат Роман Кравець вступає на посаду, замінивши Дмитра Наталуху у Верховній Раді України.

A Shift in Ukraine's Parliament

According to Главком: Roman Kravets has been officially sworn in as a new member of Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada, following a decision by the Central Election Commission on January 14, 2026. He replaces Dmytro Natalukha, whose parliamentary mandate was terminated early. This parliamentary transition is part of the ongoing political adjustments within Ukraine's governing bodies.

Dmytro Natalukha was originally elected as a People's Deputy on July 21, 2019, in a snap election representing the 'Servant of the People' party. His successor, Roman Kravets, was number 153 on the 'Servant of the People' party list. Kravets had previously run for parliament unsuccessfully in 2019. At the time of that election, he was employed as the deputy director for information technology and security at 'SSL Consulting' LLC.

Roman Kravets's Political Background

Kravets has been politically active in the past, notably assisting Hennadii Korban during the 2015 parliamentary by-election in the 205th electoral district. However, since the onset of the full-scale war, Kravets has traveled abroad eight times. He made five trips abroad before June 2024 and undertook three more journeys between June and October of that year.

Furthermore, the Telegram channel 'Joker,' which was owned by Roman Kravets, is no longer accessible due to violations of the messenger's platform rules.

Roman Kravets now assumes the responsibility of representing his constituents in the Verkhovna Rada, continuing the legislative work of his political party. Such mid-term replacements are not uncommon in the Ukrainian parliament, often reflecting the fluid nature of its political alliances. His appointment could influence the country's political landscape, as new deputies may introduce fresh perspectives. Kravets's professional experience in information technology might also prove valuable in addressing contemporary challenges facing Ukrainian society, particularly during wartime. This move underscores the dynamic nature of Ukraine's political processes and potential shifts within the ruling party's strategy.
