Poland strengthens conditions for receiving 800 Plus for Ukrainians
The 800 Plus program provides payments for each child under 18 years old, regardless of family income.
Ukrainians in Poland also have the right to assistance, but the government has decided to change the rules for people with UKR status.
On January 31, 2026, payments for this category were temporarily suspended. To continue receiving funds, Ukrainians have to reapply for the calculation period of 2025/2026.
The new rules apply to approximately 150,000 Ukrainian citizens who arrived in Poland after the full-scale war began.

To receive 800 Plus, you will need to work
According to the new conditions, Ukrainian refugees must work legally and pay taxes in Poland.
It will also be mandatory for children to attend Polish educational institutions.
The Polish government explains that these changes aim to ensure better integration of Ukrainians into the local education system and labor market.
The 800 Plus program remains one of the largest social benefits in Poland, covering millions of families with children.
For Ukrainians in Poland, this means the need to carefully monitor document updates, employment, and children's education status to avoid losing the right to assistance.
It should be noted that after the change in the rules for receiving 800 Plus assistance in Poland, the number of payments for Ukrainian families sharply decreased.
