By 2030, 92 million jobs will disappear: what awaits the world in a new era
According to ХВИЛЯ: In a conversation between political analyst Yurii Romanenko and philosopher Andrii Baumeister, the concept of a new axial time is discussed, which implies significant changes in the global economy and society. It is predicted that by 2030, 92 million traditional jobs will disappear, indicating radical transformations taking place due to the development of artificial intelligence and competition for superintelligence.
The Concept of a New Axial Time
The concept of 'new axial time' encompasses epochs of civilizational transformations, which can be compared to the period from 800 to 200 BC. Andrii Baumeister notes that this is a fundamental change in the worldview that is already manifesting in modern society. He emphasizes that we are witnessing the first signs of this time, when the European project is no longer central. Baumeister also highlights that in Europe, there are no forces of revolutionary common sense that could form a partnership, indicating a crisis of traditional ideologies.
In 2025, an explosion of competition in the development of superintelligence is expected, which may accelerate automation processes and job reductions. Currently, despite the fact that individuals still play a certain role in society, this role is gradually diminishing. Baumeister remarks that we live in a world of very quick decisions and special intuition, which requires new approaches to strategies and management decisions.
It is noted that since 2022, Ukraine has received about 267 billion euros from Western partners, indicating active support in the context of the changes occurring at a global level. Amid the transition from ideology to cynical realism, the new strategy of the USA may prove decisive for most countries in the world. Modern challenges and changes in the structure of work pose new questions for everyone, which society must find answers to in the context of a new era.
The disappearance of 92 million jobs by 2030 underscores the global need to rethink approaches to labor and employment, especially in the context of technological advancement. Support from Western countries that Ukraine receives may become an important factor for adapting to these changes, but it also requires strategic planning to mitigate potential social consequences. In light of rapid changes in technology and society, countries will need to find new ways to ensure employment and support social stability.
