Dollar exchange rate by the end of the year: analysts forecast over 42 hryvnias

The latest data from the investment company ICU confirms that the National Bank of Ukraine set the dollar exchange rate at 41.6 hryvnias per dollar last week. According to the analysts' forecasts, by the end of the year, the dollar rate may exceed 42 hryvnias.

According to expert estimates, the NBU continues to devalue the national currency, expanding the range of exchange rate fluctuations. Over the past week, the dollar has appreciated by 1% to 41.6 hryvnias per dollar, reaching its highest level since August of this year. At the same time, the euro has fallen in value by over half a percent to 48.1 hryvnias per euro.

'We expect that the NBU may strengthen the rate again, and then gradually weaken it, moving towards more than 42 hryvnias per dollar by the end of the year,' analysts at ICU explained.

According to forecasts, the dollar rate in Ukraine continues to rise, and the exchange rate may exceed the mark of 42 hryvnias per dollar by the end of the current year. The NBU continues to monitor the situation in the currency market, strengthening and weakening the hryvnia rate according to the situation in international markets. These actions support the stability of the national currency and allow for forecasting its rate in the future.
