Pension Supplements from October 1: Who Will Receive Up to 570 Hryvnias Extra

According to hvylya.net: From October 1, part of Ukrainian pensioners will receive additional payments to their pensions. This applies only to those who reach a certain age threshold - it is about age supplements that partially compensate for the obsolescence of payments. General pension indexation is not expected in October, reports OBOZ.UA.

In order to receive the additional payment, a pensioner must meet two criteria: reach the established age and receive a pension of no more than 10,340.3 Hryvnias. The sizes of supplements depend on the age of the pensioner: 70-74 years - 300 Hryvnias, 75-79 years - 456 Hryvnias, 80 years and older - 570 Hryvnias per month.

'This payment is calculated automatically, so there is no need to contact the Pension Fund of Ukraine. There are a few nuances regarding its receipt: the pension amount must not exceed 10,340.35 UAH; the calculation of the supplement occurs from the day of reaching the appropriate age,' they explain in the PFU.

When transitioning to the next age level, the pensioner receives not the full amount of the new supplement, but only the difference. For example, if a person reaches 75 years, they will be added 156 Hryvnias to the already existing supplement of 300 Hryvnias, assigned at 70 years. The total amount of the additional payment will be 456 Hryvnias.

From October 1, certain Ukrainian pensioners will receive additional pension payments that compensate for the obsolescence of other payments. This will provide additional support for elderly people and help improve their well-being. The conditions for receiving these payments are quite simple: age and the amount of the pension of the pensioner. Automatic payment calculation makes the process as convenient and transparent as possible for recipients.
