Drones attacked the world's largest gas processing plant in Orenburg
According to glavcom.ua: On the night of October 19, drones attacked the gas processing plant in Orenburg. This caused a fire in one of the plant's workshops, reported the governor of the Orenburg region, Evgeny Solntsev.
According to him, the plant's infrastructure was partially damaged. Eyewitnesses reported hearing at least seven loud explosions and seeing smoke.
Series of explosions at the Novokuybyshevsk refinery
That same night, explosions occurred at the Novokuybyshevsk oil refinery in the Samara region of Russia after a drone attack. This caused a large fire from which a significant plume of smoke rose.
It is worth noting that the Orenburg gas processing plant is the largest gas chemical complex in the world, processing 37.5 billion cubic meters of gas annually and possessing significant production capacity.
Several gas processing plants in Russia have been the targets of drone attacks, resulting in a series of explosions and fires. The attack on these facilities could have serious consequences for the economy and ecology of the region, as well as highlight the threat to cybersecurity in the modern world.
