Epidemic thresholds not exceeded: how Ukraine controls ARVI and influenza

According to Міністерство Здоров'я: At the beginning of the epidemic season 2025/2026, the situation remains stable - in none of the regions of Ukraine has the epidemic threshold been exceeded.

Over the past week, more than 116 thousand people have fallen ill with influenza, COVID-19, and other ARVI, of which more than 68 thousand are children. Fortunately, only 2,909 patients required hospitalization due to complications of ARVI, influenza, and coronavirus. These individuals received appropriate medical assistance.

Recommendations for prevention

• Vaccination
• Adhering to personal hygiene rules (washing hands, using hand sanitizers)
• Proper nutrition
• Regular ventilation of rooms
• Avoiding prolonged stays in crowded places
• Isolation at home in case of cold symptoms

Symptoms to pay attention to

• muscle and joint aches
• sore throat
• temperature rise to 38°C and above
• cough
• headache
