Nearly 89 thousand Ukrainians evacuated: how the organized evacuation from frontline regions works

Ukraine continues the active evacuation of residents from frontline areas to safe zones. From June 1 to September 12, 2025, nearly 89 thousand people have already been evacuated, including more than 9.4 thousand children and over 2.9 thousand people with reduced mobility, the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development reported.

The evacuation is actively taking place in various regions. The largest number of people has already been evacuated from Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Kherson, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia oblasts.

“The evacuation of the population is carried out in close coordination with various state and public structures, as well as with international support. ...”

The evacuation process is supported by various types of assistance and services for the evacuated citizens. Transit centers in different regions provide the necessary help and support for people who are relocating.

Ukraine continues active measures to evacuate residents from frontline territories to safer regions in cooperation with various structures and international partners. Providing proper assistance and support to citizens is a priority task in this process.
