Salaries in Ukraine are 7 times lower than in Europe: what the statistics show
According to hvylya.net: Ukrainians continue to receive salaries that are 7 times lower than those of residents of the European Union. According to Eurostat data, in 2024 the average annual salary in the EU was nearly 40 thousand euros, which is 5.2% higher than the previous year (37.8 thousand euros).
Leaders in earnings
Luxembourg holds the top spot in the ranking with an annual salary of 83 thousand euros, followed by Denmark (71.6 thousand euros) and Ireland (61.1 thousand euros) per year.

Outsiders in the salary race
The lowest incomes are recorded in Bulgaria (15.4 thousand euros per year), followed by Greece (18 thousand euros) and Hungary (18.5 thousand euros). In Poland, the average salary is about 21.25 thousand euros.
Ukrainian reality
As of the end of 2024, the average salary in Ukraine increased by 23.1% to 21473 hryvnias per month. Converted to euros, this amount is about 494 euros per month or 5.9 thousand euros per year, which is almost seven times lower than in the EU.

Ukrainians continue to earn much less than Europeans. This reflects the level of economic development and the difference in the standard of living between Ukraine and EU countries. Further improvements in the efficiency and competitiveness of the Ukrainian economy are necessary to reduce this gap.
