According to Главком: The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has released its latest assessment of Russian occupation forces' losses as of the morning of June 23, 2026. The war has now entered its 1,581st day. According to the report, Russia's cumulative personnel losses have reached approximately 1,394,530, an increase of 1,390 from the previous tally.
Equipment and Resource Destruction
Among the destroyed military hardware, the following numbers were recorded:
- 12,050 tanks (unchanged)
- 24,812 armored combat vehicles (up by 7)
- 44,604 artillery systems (up by 74)
- 1,887 multiple rocket launcher systems (up by 1)
- 1,437 air defense systems (unchanged)
- 436 aircraft destroyed (unchanged)
- 353 helicopters (also unchanged)
- 1,719 ground robotic complexes (up by 7)
- 368,015 tactical-level unmanned aerial vehicles (up by 1,851)
As for naval losses, Russia has lost:
- 33 ships and boats (unchanged)
- 2 submarines (also unchanged)
- 110,827 units of automotive equipment and fuel tankers (up by 626)
- 4,329 units of special equipment (up by 8)
Estimated financial losses for Russia across various equipment categories include:
- Cruise missiles: approximately $14.36 billion
- Drones: approximately $11.04 billion
- Aircraft: approximately $13.08 billion
- Helicopters: approximately $5.29 billion
- Tanks: approximately $30.13 billion
- Artillery systems: approximately $66.91 billion
- Armored combat vehicles: approximately $14.89 billion
- Air defense systems: approximately $21.56 billion
- Ships and boats: approximately $1.98 billion
- Submarines: $600 million
As the General Staff notes, 'these figures are estimates, as only the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine knows the precise breakdown of destroyed equipment by modification.'
