Russian mobilization compared to Squid Game: how they lure people into war

According to glavcom.ua: Russian anti-war activist Ivan Chuvilyaev compared the mobilization of citizens to the Russian army with the events in the series 'Squid Game'. He believes that low-income people with debts who want to make money agree to risky games, but fail to achieve their goals. The methodology of recruiting citizens for the war against Ukraine, according to Chuvilyaev, is very similar to the plot of the series.

Chuvilyaev believes that contracts with the Ministry of Defense are signed even in colonies and pre-trial detention centers, making recruitment an extremely easy task. His words are confirmed by the quote: 'Stop a person on the street and shove a contract package into their pocket. And there they can already be a contractor. Why pay for soldiers when you can get them for free from colonies and pre-trial detention centers?'

According to the project 'Go to hell', prisoners are most often recruited into the ranks of the Russian armed forces. Chuvilyaev also claims that Russians do not aspire to serve in the army, but often become military personnel through deception or coercion.
