This oil product pipeline played a key role in supplying the Russian army with fuel for their military actions, including gasoline, diesel fuel, and aviation fuel. According to HUR, all three branches of the oil product pipeline were damaged simultaneously, despite the protective measures that had been taken to secure this facility.
Statement from General Kyrylo Budanov
Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov, head of HUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, noted that direct strikes from Ukraine cause greater damage to the Russian state than any economic sanctions. This operation dealt a serious blow to the military capabilities of the aggressor state. The 'Ring' oil product pipeline had a high capacity and supplied various types of fuel from different oil refineries in various cities of Russia.
The successful intelligence operation in the Moscow region resulted in the disconnection of an important military facility, complicating the Russian army's ability to obtain the necessary fuel for their combat actions. The actions of the intelligence group proved to be an effective mechanism for destroying enemy capabilities.
