HAMAS informed intermediaries that it will not participate in new negotiations with Israel until the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip improves. This information was reported by The Jerusalem Post citing sources.
Meanwhile, a special envoy of U.S. President Donald Trump, Steve Witkoff, has already arrived in the Middle East. This comes amid an extended situation in negotiations between Israel and HAMAS regarding a ceasefire and the release of hostages.
According to glavcom.ua: By refusing concessions, HAMAS has forced Israel and the U.S. to rethink their approach to negotiations. After a meeting between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Steve Witkoff, it became known that the new format would include the release of hostages, demilitarization of Gaza, and disarmament of HAMAS militants.
HAMAS refused to participate in negotiations with Israel until the humanitarian situation improves. At the same time, the arrival of U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff in the Middle East indicates attempts to find a compromise and resolution to the conflict between the parties.
