The integration of Moldova into the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) is an important step for the country. It will allow for secure and economical transfers in euros. According to the National Bank of Moldova, in 2024 alone, over 830 thousand transactions worth 11.8 billion euros were made between Moldova and SEPA countries. This confirms Moldova's European path and its growing dependence on the European Union.

Previously, Moldova intended to open a 'negotiation cluster' with the EU, bypassing Ukraine, which indicates the country's determination to strengthen relations with the European Union.
