The Bethlehem Fire of Peace has reached Ukraine: how a symbol of hope travels the country

According to Міністерство інфраструктури: The scouts in Kyiv have taken on an important mission - to pass on the Bethlehem Fire of Peace. This symbolic fire has been traveling the world for nearly 40 years, bringing light, goodness, and unity. The Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine has received the fire, and Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba thanked the scouts for their work.

Oleksiy Kuleba noted that in Ukraine, especially in times of war, this symbolic fire takes on a special significance, providing warmth and light to Ukrainians. Since the beginning of the war, scouts have started to deliver the Bethlehem fire along with humanitarian aid to the front lines, to support the defenders.

Since 2021, Ukrzaliznytsia has also joined this tradition, and now the traveling fire makes its way across the country by rail, reaching regions in less than a day. Importantly, anyone can receive the Bethlehem Fire of Peace in churches, in city squares, and other open places. This is yet another way to promote unity and support important values for Ukrainian society.
