China supplies millions of engines for Russian drones: WSJ investigation
China has become the main supplier of components for Russian drones. According to unpublished reports for the U.S. Department of State and European governments, China has effectively become the primary source of components for Russian military drones used in the war against Ukraine. Chinese engines are supplied through shell companies under the guise of 'industrial refrigeration installations' to evade detection after sanctions were imposed.
Experts urge the EU to fill the gap in supplying components for drones to Ukraine as it is strategically important for the country's defense against aggression.
