Superleague clubs voted for matches in frontline regions: decision details

According to glavcom.ua: Today, a closed meeting of the Superleague club leaders took place, where they discussed the format of future competitions. This was reported by the publication Glavkom with reference to basket.com.ua.

One of the key topics of the meeting was the discussion of the possibility of holding matches in frontline regions, as well as the format for the upcoming season. According to the sports resource, 9 out of 10 clubs supported the idea of holding matches in such regions.

With a voting result of 9-1, the clubs supported the idea of hosting championship matches in frontline regions.

As for the competition format, most meeting participants supported the bubble system used in the previous season. It is likely that the competitions in the new season will take place in three rounds in the men's Superleague.

It is worth noting that this is just a vote by the clubs; the final format for the next season will be determined by the FBU Executive Committee. The report also mentioned the defeat of the Ukrainian national basketball team in the match against Switzerland at the start of the pre-qualification stage for the 2027 World Championship.
