The most expensive Lego set will enter the 'Star Wars' universe

The largest Lego set in the company's history is set to be released - the 'Death Star' from 'Star Wars'. This information was published by The Brick Fan, citing the Lego company.

The 'Death Star' model will cost $999.99. It will consist of over 9 thousand pieces and, when assembled, will measure 70 cm in height and 80 cm in width. The set will also include 38 character figures.

Sales are scheduled to begin on October 4. Previously, the most expensive set from the company was the 'Millennium Falcon' from 'Star Wars', released in 2017. It consisted of 7400 pieces and cost $850.

It is worth noting that Lego's CEO and friend of the Danish royal family, Michael Gelb, died in an accident while skiing in the Swiss Alps.

It is also worth mentioning that six children and four adults were injured when a part of a large Lego installation fell in the American city of Peabody, Massachusetts.

Recently, Hungarian artist Balázs Dóci and his group assembled a full-size tram from Lego pieces right in the center of Budapest.
