Ukraine has created the Flamingo missile: how it changes the course of the war
According to hvylya.net: In 1994, Ukraine renounced nuclear weapons and a defense industry that once produced a third of Soviet armaments. Now the country is actively restoring its military production, combining old technologies with modern IT developments.
According to the publication 'Khvylia', Ukraine is establishing the production of missiles and drones, created using carbon printers and lawnmower engines. This gives the country an advantage in defense against Russia.
'When a gun is pointed at your head, you don’t think about standards – you think about making it work,' cites the magazine the technical director of Fire Point, Inna Terekh.
Prototypes of new missiles were even painted pink to make them easier to detect after test flights. Yet they successfully carried out missions during attacks on Russian targets.
Modern weapons from Ukrainian manufacturers
The company Fire Point has introduced widely applicable and affordable FP1 and FP2 drones in the style of Shahed. They are made with 3D printers, have engines from lawnmowers, and modern navigation systems. These drones cost $50,000 each, which is significantly cheaper than Western counterparts and Russian Shahed models.
Ukraine prides itself on producing 60% of its weapons independently. This is an important step for the country in transitioning from a nuclear state to a manufacturer of modern and effective weapons.
After renouncing nuclear weapons and a defense industry in 1994, Ukraine is actively restoring its military production, using both traditional methods and cutting-edge IT technologies. This allows the country to remain competitive in the fight for security and defense capability. Fire Point plays a key role in this process, offering modern and affordable weapons that provide Ukraine with important technological advantages.
