Lama Shares Her Views on Relationships

According to РБК-Україна — Lite: Ukrainian singer Lama, whose real name is Natalia Mohylevets, has opened up about her nine-year relationship with her younger partner, Roman. In a recent conversation, she made it clear that she sees no need for a formal wedding, arguing that a stamp in a passport does nothing to change the dynamics of a partnership.

Roman has proposed to her, but Lama has no plans to get married. She believes that being with a younger man helps women stay energetic and youthful for longer. 'In general, I recommend that all women have partners who are younger than themselves. A woman starts to look younger with such a man because of the right kind of youthful energy, and you don't feel that depression,' the singer emphasized.

Prioritizing Relationship Quality Over Formalities

Lama also pointed out that she has encountered men over 40 who often struggle with depression, which can negatively affect their partners. She argues that choosing a younger partner is a better strategy for maintaining a positive appearance and outlook. 'I realized that to look good and have everything be great, it's better if the man is younger,' she added.

The singer stressed that for her, the quality of the relationship matters far more than any legal formalities. 'There's no need for it. I realized that a relationship is not a stamp in a passport-it changes nothing,' Lama said. She noted that if a person has negative character traits, a marriage certificate won't fix that. 'If a person is responsible, mature, and well-formed, they will always treat you like a wife,' she explained.

Overall, Lama says she feels balanced and confident with Roman, which she considers the most important aspect of any relationship.

Her comments highlight a modern approach to partnerships, where traditional values are being reexamined. The idea that formalities do not define the quality of a bond reflects shifting societal views on marriage and companionship, suggesting that many women now prioritize emotional fulfillment and equal partnership over social validation.
