One Million Ukrainians to Receive 2,000 UAH Each for Medical Checkups
National Health Screening Program '40+'
According to Кабмін: Ukraine’s National Health Screening Program, known as '40+', has attracted one million applicants who have requested financial support to take part. Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko confirmed the milestone. Once an application is processed, each participant receives 2,000 UAH in state assistance, which can be used to cover the cost of medical examinations.
The initiative targets the early detection of cardiovascular disease risks, diabetes, and mental health assessments.
“Health screening helps identify life-threatening health risks in their early stages and prevents them from progressing. This includes cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and mental health evaluation,” said Yuliia Svyrydenko.
How to Access the Program
Applications can be submitted through the Diia app or at Administrative Service Centers (TSNAPs). Screenings are available at 2,227 medical facilities, including state-run, municipal, and private clinics, allowing patients to choose a location regardless of where they live or are registered.
As a key part of Ukraine’s national healthcare strategy, the '40+' Screening Program aims to improve public access to medical services. Given the high prevalence of cardiovascular and other chronic diseases, this effort could significantly impact public health by catching issues early. The large number of enrollees also reflects growing public awareness about the value of regular health checkups.
