Ministry of Defense Implementing New Quality Standards for the Defense Industry: What Will Change
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is working on synchronizing the national quality assurance system with international ISO standards and NATO AQAP standards. In particular, two new professional standards have been developed: 'Quality Systems Auditor for Defense Industry Enterprises' and 'Quality Assurance Specialist'.
- Organization of audits of quality management systems in accordance with international standards.
- Risk assessment in the life cycle of defense-related products.
- Evaluation of the effectiveness of quality assurance measures and recommendations for improvement of management systems.
- Development of legislation in the field of quality assurance.
- Preparation and execution of international agreements on cooperation in this area.
- Adaptation and implementation of national and military standards according to NATO standards.
After the development of standard drafts is completed, a public discussion will be held. A new feature has been added to the DOT-Chain Defence marketplace - a rating system for unmanned aerial vehicles to facilitate the selection of drones for military units.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense continues to work on improving the quality assurance system, aligning it with international standards. This will help enhance the efficiency and quality of products in the defense sector. The ministry is also implementing new technologies to facilitate the choice of unmanned aerial vehicles for military units.
