Arrest during the attack on TCК
Внаслідок інциденту із застосуванням сльозогінного газу в Полтавській області затримано вісім осіб.

Incident in the Poltava Region

According to Главком: On March 13, around 11 a.m., a group of up to 20 individuals assaulted military personnel from the Territorial Recruitment Center (TCC) and police officers who were conducting mobilization activities in the Poltava region. The attackers deployed tear gas, resulting in chemical burns for three soldiers and three police officers.

The incident occurred near the settlement of Nyzhni Mlyny, where the assailants obstructed the work of a notification team. Additional units of the National Police were dispatched to the scene. Law enforcement officers subsequently detained eight men involved in the attack. Six of those detained are eligible for military conscription and are currently undergoing medical examination for service.

Similar Incidents Across Ukraine

Police in the Zakarpattia region have also reported similar events. In Uzhhorod, attackers blocked the road for TCC representatives and damaged their vehicle with wooden sticks. Separately, in the Carpathian region, a man stabbed and wounded military personnel from the Kalush district TCC and SP during a confrontation.

The Poltava Regional TCC and SP stated that 'notification groups are carrying out mobilization measures to staff the Defense Forces of Ukraine. Obstructing their activities is illegal, and the consequence is a reduction in Ukraine's defense capability.'

These incidents highlight growing tensions surrounding Ukraine's mobilization efforts, which have been ongoing since Russia's full-scale invasion in 2022. Such attacks not only endanger the safety of service members and law enforcement but also pose a serious risk to the nation's defensive capacity during a time of sustained military aggression. The government and law enforcement agencies must implement measures to ensure security during mobilization activities to prevent further conflicts.
