NATO's Amber Shock 26 Exercise Kicks Off

According to ХВИЛЯ: On May 2, NATO commenced the Amber Shock 26 exercise at the Polish training ground in Orzysz, with American forces taking part. More than 3,500 military personnel and hundreds of pieces of equipment are involved. The drills are scheduled to run through Friday, with a live-fire exercise planned as the highlight on Thursday.

Part of a Broader Military Campaign

Amber Shock 26 is a component of the larger Saber Strike 26 exercise, which is simultaneously taking place in Poland, Lithuania, and Finland. Participants include troops from the U.S. Army's 2nd Cavalry Regiment (2CR), along with units from Poland and the United States. Notably, the 2CR unit completed a march of over 1,000 kilometers from Germany to join the exercise.

After moving to the Polish training area, the 2nd Regiment deployed its units, integrated with the NATO Multinational Battle Group, and was placed under the Multinational Division Northeast. During the drills, participants will carry out tactical fire missions, enhancing interoperability and demonstrating the unity and reliability of Alliance members.
