According to the State Bureau of Investigations, some decisions were made based on fake medical documents, which allowed dozens of men to avoid being drafted into the army.

“Individuals who took advantage of the scheme were declared unfit and removed from the mobilization register,” the State Bureau of Investigations reported.

The investigation revealed that a well-organized scheme for selling fake medical conclusions about health status was operating in the region. The group members offered interested parties a Military Medical Commission conclusion of complete unfitness for service in exchange for monetary rewards.

One of the leaders of the regional Military Medical Commission and a former employee of a local medical institution were involved in the criminal activities. They found clients, created fake diagnoses, and entered false data into official protocols. The cost of the 'services' depended on the urgency and complexity of the forgery and ranged from 5,000 to 20,000 dollars.

Conducting inspections and canceling fake conclusions

After uncovering the scheme, the State Bureau of Investigations demands that the Central Military Medical Commission review all decisions made based on fake documents. The commission has already canceled two fictitious conclusions, and the verification of other cases is ongoing.

After confirming the facts of forgery, all documents will be annulled, and all involved parties will be held accountable under the law. According to representatives of the State Bureau of Investigations, no case of evasion from mobilization will go unaddressed.
