According to hvylya.net: The Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasily Baby believes that the decision of the Verkhovna Rada regarding the limitation of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau's powers is a step towards restoring constitutional order. He noted that these changes do not liquidate any structure, but only adhere to the principles of the Constitution.

'Do we live in a rule of law state? In a legal one! The main law is the Constitution! No one liquidated anyone. I am not a deputy and not a legislator. Trust me, what they voted for is a question for the deputies. It is better to ask them. It would be right and logical. As far as I understand, this is just a return to the Constitution'

Baby also emphasized that the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office and NABU remain independent structures. However, he supports the principle of unity in the prosecutor's office system to avoid duplication and ensure control. An online suspicion has also been announced against the hiding people's deputy Fedor Khristenko for state treason.

Strategic goals of the SSU in wartime

Baby stressed the importance of fighting enemy agents in wartime. He emphasized that it is necessary to eliminate the RF agents from state bodies and continue the fight against hostile influence. The Director of the State Bureau of Investigation Alexey Sukachev called for joint efforts to track criminal offenses at the highest echelons of power.

The Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada supported the decision to limit NABU's powers, which the Head of the SBU considers a step towards restoring constitutional order. The SBU and other anti-corruption structures continue their activities, adhering to the principles of legality and control over power.
