Norway invests funds in Ukrainian drone manufacturers

According to hvylya.net: Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal held a meeting with the head of Norway's defense agency, Tore Sandvik. According to Shmyhal, during the conversation, the parties discussed the results of the meeting in the 'Ramstein' format.

'In 2025, Norway has allocated a total of 1 billion euros for the purchase of drones, of which 400 million euros are funds for procurement directly from the Ukrainian manufacturer. We have good prospects for strengthening cooperation. We are grateful for this support,' the Defense Minister noted.

The meeting discussed the development of joint production in the defense industry, strengthening air defense, and training Ukrainian military personnel.

'We have identified our main needs. We also hope for Ukraine's participation in SAFE projects. We thank Norway for its consistent assistance in enhancing Ukraine's defense,' Shmyhal emphasized.

Ukraine and Norway continue to develop cooperation in the field of defense, focusing in particular on joint projects in the military-industrial complex and enhancing the defense capabilities of the countries. The exchange of experience and support from partners are important steps in strengthening Ukraine's defense potential in the face of geopolitical challenges.
