New rules for supporting the employment of people with disabilities approved in Ukraine
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a new procedure for calculating the average monthly salary for contributions to support the employment of people with disabilities. The document aims to unify the approach to calculations and make the system more transparent for employers. This is reported by 24 channel.
Previously, the mechanism for determining the average salary could cause disputes and difficulties. Now the government has established clear rules that regulate which payments are taken into account and which are not.

This indicator is used to determine the amount of the contribution that enterprises pay if they do not meet the quota for employing people with disabilities.
Employment of persons with disabilities: who the changes apply to
The new rules apply to companies that have eight or more employees. If an enterprise does not provide the legally established number of jobs for people with disabilities, it must pay the corresponding contribution.
The Ministry of Social Policy emphasizes that the decision is aimed not at increasing fines but at creating clear conditions for business. The adoption of the resolution is expected to ensure a unified and transparent mechanism for calculations and to promote real employment.
In addition, people with disabilities in Ukraine are entitled to a disability pension. Its amount depends on the group: for group I - 100% of the old-age pension, for group II - 90%, for group III - 50%. For children with disabilities, 70% of the subsistence minimum for persons who have lost their ability to work is foreseen. Military personnel are granted a pension regardless of their length of service if the disability occurred during service or no later than three months after dismissal.
It is reminded that the program of compensation for the employment of people with disabilities is most actively used by employers in Kyiv and Cherkasy regions, as well as in the capital.
