The government plans new taxes for OLX and sugary drinks: what will change
The government of Ukraine has embarked on the search for new sources of income and, as it turns out, plans to introduce some new taxes. In particular, one of the most interesting is the 'tax on OLX'. According to information from the source 'Hvylya', up to 14 billion hryvnias may enter the treasury due to the taxation of income from the digital platform.
In addition, the government plans to introduce a new excise tax on sugary drinks, which will bring an additional 5 billion hryvnias to the budget. All of this is being done to take control of the shadow economy and cover the budget deficit next year.
The head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy predicts that the government does not plan a significant increase in VAT, and instead will focus on combating the shadow economy by implementing separate tax changes.
