NYT Reveals Secrets of Russia's Rapid Advance in Ukraine
Russia Intensifies Occupation in Ukraine
According to hvylya.net: Analysts have studied the process of occupation of Ukrainian territories by enemy forces and reported on it.
According to data from The New York Times, in June of this year, Russia achieved a record monthly growth in the capture of Ukrainian lands. They now control more than two-thirds of the Donetsk region and have also managed to penetrate into the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Currently, Russia has created a siege around Ukrainian forces near the key city of Konstantinovka. This situation complicates the defense of Ukrainian forces, who claim that the Russian army is using drones and mortars to limit their movement and advance.
In June, Russia seized over 214 square miles of Ukrainian territory, compared to 173 square miles in May. This indicates that the monthly volumes of occupied lands are growing.
Expenditures and Possible Consequences
Researchers note that Russia is spending significant funds to finance the war, leading to inflation and budget deficits. Despite high expenditures, Russia has liquid assets to cover the deficit for at least until the end of the year; however, next year the Kremlin may need to reassess its financial priorities.
Ukraine, for its part, is trying to fend off the advance of Russian troops using drones and other technologies to keep the occupiers in place and prevent further advance.
The amount of land occupied by Russia in Ukraine is growing, which could have serious consequences for both Russia and Ukraine. It is advisable to focus on Russian aggression and potential ways to end the conflict to avoid further escalation of violence and instability in the region.
