Cyberpolice warned about a new wave of phishing: how to protect your money

The Ukrainian Cyberpolice has recorded an increase in the number of phishing messages where scammers impersonate bank representatives and promise monetary rewards for short surveys. According to the information, common schemes of deception include sending emails with offers to receive money for participating in fake surveys on behalf of a bank.The fraud scheme involves conducting a 'survey' on a counterfeit bank website, where victims must log in and enter personal data. After completing the survey, scammers promise to provide funds within a few hours. The Cyberpolice also urged citizens to be cautious, to refuse to follow links in unknown messages, and to verify the authenticity of websites before entering confidential data. In case of becoming a victim of fraud, they advise to immediately notify the bank and contact the Cyberpolice through the official portal.
