According to ХВИЛЯ: On the fourth anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion, the UN General Assembly passed the resolution 'Support for a Durable Peace in Ukraine,' an initiative led by Kyiv. The vote saw 107 member states in favor, 12 opposed, and 51 abstaining. This vote is a key indicator of international diplomatic alignment regarding the ongoing war.
The United States delegation attempted to introduce amendments to the resolution's text, but these proposals failed to gain sufficient support. Only 11 countries voted for the US amendments, while 69 voted against them. Notably, while the US voted against a similar resolution on February 24, 2025, it chose to abstain this year.
