Pensioners after 70 years: who will receive an additional 300 to 700 hryvnias per month

Supplement for pensions in Ukraine

Pensioners in Ukraine can receive age supplements to their pensions, depending on their age and meeting certain conditions. For individuals who have reached 70 years, a monthly supplement of 300 hryvnias is provided. This amounts to 3,600 hryvnias per year. Upon reaching 75 years, the supplement increases to 456 hryvnias per month, which is a real increase of only 156 hryvnias.

There is even greater support for pensioners who celebrate their 80th anniversary, as the state provides them with an additional 114 hryvnias per month. To qualify for these supplements, there are certain conditions:

• The pension amount must not exceed 10,340 hryvnias.
• The pensioner must not be employed.

Moreover, labor veterans can receive an allowance of 200% of the minimum pension. Single pensioners over 80 years old who require constant care are entitled to an additional payment of about 1,000 hryvnias per month. For pensioners with increased insurance experience, there is also the possibility of receiving supplements of up to 700 hryvnias per month.
